Lane & Sector Management

Out of chaos, order ensues. But only if you are determined to create it. For all intents and purposes, space is still an uncharted territory. We will need to put in place two elements that will put the order into the chaos of space.

Sectors:

Defining sectors within space will help us plan and execute the various goals we have in space. Sectors will be required wherever there is human habitation.

Whether it is a stationary space station, a temporarily parked vehicle, or a storage facility, only with defined sectors will we be able to mitigate the risks and make sure that lives and property are properly protected.

Without sectors, haphazard placements will be utilized, leading not only to risks but also less development in the space economy. In space, fuel is very important.

Defined sectors will help reduce the need to burn excessive fuel going from one facility to another. When all your residents are in certain sectors, less fuel will be consumed to reach them. When all the storage facilities are closely located, similar dynamics will apply including more efficient protection

Lanes:

While we currently blast into space in any direction we need, this cannot sustain. When traffic increases exponentially, we cannot have indiscriminate rocket trajectories.

We will need travel lanes. On earth, we feel confident that we can get from point A to point B, whether we travel by air, land, or sea. We have defined highways, sea lanes, and air lanes to safely drive traffic to its intended destinations.

Space will be no different. It will require generally accepted lanes for the different types of traffic operating within the different sectors. Inter-Sector and Intra-Sector traffic will only work efficiently with defined lanes.
