Interplanetary Communications

Communication is essential to all human endeavors. As we build out humanities presence on the Moon, Mars, and all points in between, we will need infrastructure that can accommodate the web of communication that will be instrumental to the development of space for human expansion.

The distances involved will require upgrades to our existing technologies to accommodate shorter timer delays. We will need system upgrades across the board for the various sectors:

Earth to LEO/GEO
Lunar to Cis Lunar
Mars to Cis Mars
Interplanetary Communications
All orbital and vehicular traffic communications

Interplanetary communications is central to safe and effective development of Space. Not only will we need the infrastructure and reduced time delays but will also need to mitigate the risks that develop from cyber attacks to those networks.

There is also an omnipresent risk to the physical infrastructure of those networks. Effective monitoring of all systems will be part of the development process and not an afterthought. Interplanetary Communication will spawn its own trillion dollar industry.
